Dans partner Sophie is an early childhood teacher by trade, and has been recently working in the family motorcycle shop in Taupo. She has been an integral part of Stasis doing everything from labels and bags, right up to suggesting our name! Together, Dan and Sophie want to provide customers with the feeling of a small, genuine Nz owned business. “A real backyard startup” They want to create personal relationships, and spearhead a new eco friendly brand that can be sold worldwide.

Our Story
A Kiwi Business Founded Upon Change.
Dan has been in and around the tyre industry for almost 25 years either managing stores or recently being self employed in his own tyre shop with a revolutionary mobile tyre service aswell.
After years of using alternative wheel balancing products, he decided to look elsewhere for a cost effective and eco friendly way to balance not only truck tyres, but bus, car and motorcycle ones too. And after some research, he found a factory that would efficiently make the recycled glass beads at a cost that they can pass onto tyre shops.
Dan has turned his small shed at home into the bagging and packing facility, which gives it that genuine small business feel!
